Color Guard & Visual Staff
Dree Dray, Color Guard Caption Head and Design Consultant
Dree performs with Emanon World Indoor Guard in the offseason and was previously a member of the Bushwackers Drum and Bugle Corps, and Co-Motion Indoor Guard. Dree has a background in dance and has performed at Lincoln Center with the Bolshoi Ballet Company.
He brings a strong foundation of dance and body alignment and a visual understanding of music to his section. Dree's inventive equipment work and diligent efforts won our Color Guard a gold medal at DCA Individual and Ensemble Competition in 2017.
Dree works with several high school programs in New Jersey. He holds a degree from New York City College of Technology in computer systems and currently works in the field of Pharmacy providing excellent care to his patients.
Kevin Flaherty, Visual Caption Head & Drill Designer
Kevin is the band director at Pleasantville High School in New Jersey and has brought the "Unstoppable" Greyhound band to new levels of achievement.
Kevin is an Honors graduate of the University of Delaware earned a Bachelor of Music with Honors. While there he was a member of the renowned UD Marching Band serving for three years as its Drum Major.
Michelle Rogers, Visual Technician
Michelle Rogers teaches special education at Morris Knolls and previously taught mathematics at Roxbury and Morristown school districts. She is a longtime staff member with the venerable Randolph High School Marching Rams.
Michelle performed indoor and outdoor color guard with Roxbury High School, one of the top performing public school districts in New Jersey, and has a background in dance and movement.
Christian Colon-Liptak, Visual Technician
Christian has performed with a variety of drum corps such as Jersey Surf, Bayonne Bridgemen Alumni Corps, and Fusion Core, which all are in New Jersey. He has worked with several NJ high school bands, including Hoboken High School and Linden High School. Christian also works as a clinician during Highland's off-season. His contribution as a low brass player has been tremendous throughout his years in the marching arts.
Natalie Tews, Visual Technician
Natalie is currently a student teacher in Fair Haven, NJ and will begin her career as a full-time music educator next fall. She was trumpet section leader for three years for the Rutgers University Marching Scarlet Knights. In addition, she was a music librarian for the Rutgers Athletic Bands and teaches private lessons.
Natalie performed in numerous ensembles at Mason Gross School of the Arts including the trumpet ensemble and a brass quintet. She studied trumpet under NYC freelance musicians John Sheppard and Kenneth DeCarlo.
Natalie will graduate from Rutgers in May 2021 with a degree in music education.
